Dr. Carrier is a professional historian, published author and prominent defender of the American free thought movement, On February 11, he will be debating Mike Licona who is a well known Christian apologist and frequent defender of the authenticity of the resurrection of Jesus. The topic of the debate will be the "Historicity of the Resurrection of Jesus". Then on Friday, February 12, Dr. Carrier will be giving three short presentations on free thought related topics at a location in Olathe, Kansas. Both of these events will be free and open to the public. For more complete details see February 11 or February 12.

NEW TIME & PLACE FOR SOS MEETING!

The weekly SOS meeting will be meeting at a new time and place beginning in 2010. It will still meet on Saturdays, but will meet at 10:00 a.m. at Lattéland Espresso & Tea, 7900 State Line Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208. SOS stands for Secular Organization for Sobriety or Save OurSelves, however, you want to call it! Though it sounds like the group is mainly concerned with alcoholism persons with any addiction including alcoholism, drug dependence, an eating disorder or anything like that are welcome. Do you find too much religion in the programs designed to help you? Well, here may be your answer! You do not need to be an atheist, agnostic, humanist or other free thinker to participate, but this group will not approach your addiction from a religious standpoint. Find out more about this group by checking out their web page, Meetup site or the calendar.

Tips for Using This Web Site

At the present time, this web site is best viewed with Internet Explorer. I have no great love for Microsoft or IE, it is just that I haven't had time to optimize it for Firefox, etc. I do utilize popups for providing information. There is no commercial advertising on this site, so you can safely allow popups without getting unwanted advertising. Greg.

Who is this we?

This web site is the sole responsibility of Greg Swartz. If I use "we" from time to time, rest assured that I am not feeling pontifical; it just seems to work better. Besides, I do have some cats that enter things from time to time. Of course, I have to just delete most of it, but they are involved. Greg.
